This poster was produced to promote the Italian stage of the 1937 Grand Prix or to give it its Italian title, Gran Premio D’Italia Automobili Milano. T

The vintage motor racing poster is bold, colourful and eye-catching. The image depicts a bright red racing car speeding across the Piazza Sempione in front of the Arco della Pace. 

The 1937 Italian Grand Prix race took place on 20th June and the coveted first place was taken by Tazio Nuvolari. An Italian racing driver who was known as Il “Mantovano Volante”  (The Flying Mantuan) and nicknamed “Nivola”.
